If It Were Us, We'd Be Obsessing By Now
How much do I hate Foreman? SOOOOOO MUCH
6th-Nov-2007 09:15 pm
God...fifteen minutes into House and already he's proven he's an ass. Proven ONCE AGAIN that Cuddy is an idiot for keeping him but not using Chase who CAN actually diagnose without House around and as an INTENSIVIST could better keep the patients alive. Yeah...House sucks DONKEY BALLS and after jesse'radio interview I think it's pretty much a given that the show is now the House/Foreman hour and we'll never EVER see Chase again for more than 30 seconds an ep. I am so freaking bummed. DIE FOREMAN DIE!!!!!

which radio interview? I would love to either hear it, or read a transcript.

I think I found the link on the Jesse thread at TWOP

I think his "mess with the formula" comment is promising. I'm sticking with my hope that they are just messing with for awhile and will return back to "what works".

Man do I wish I had your faith.
7th-Nov-2007 07:12 am (UTC)
. me too. I am totally not happy with the lack of Chase lately.
7th-Nov-2007 02:56 am (UTC)
WOW..and the newbies have straight out proving that Foreman sucks as a doctor, can't run a team, can't diagnose but I get him shoved in my fave. Then Cameron. But chase, who is made of awesome can't get more than 30 minutes. Yeah. I'm done. I hope Jesse leaves the show and gets something better so I can love what I'm watching and watch him actually getting a chance to shine. Because he's twenty times better than OE will ever be. Even Foreman being right about heatstroke doesn't mean jack shit. Foreman sucks sucks sucks and so does House and YES I am ranting and bitching and House will never again be the show I loved. It jumped the shark for me big time.

UGH. Word. Apparently once they stop this stupid Surviver game (which I was rather fond of until I realized the cost was Chase) he'll go back to "normal" so there's an extra fifteen seconds coming up for the second half of the season. I'm seriously sick of Cameron's bullshit too. "I miss people who stab me with contaminated needles because it made me try." Obviously she was smoking something through the last, I don't know, three season because when she was almost infected with HIV, it didn't motivate her do her job more, it motivated her to get hopped up on meth and forget about work. And Foreman hasn't changed since the pilot despite all of these freaking growth arcs. I want Chase. I'm getting sick of these 30 second cuts where he says the same thing because he hasn't had enough of a story-line to say anything else. I'm sick of him being the unheard voice of reason and finishing up with the stupid "You're not over House," crap because that's all there is to either of their characters apparently. House, Cuddy and Wilson and all been phenomonal this season. What the hell is wrong with this show that it can't make all of its characters three-dimensional at the same time?

I'm just so freaking frustrated.

This is the new House. The House/Foreman hour. You didn't get the memo?
Yeah..I bet Jesse didnt either. It would have been kinder to tell him he wasn't really coming back. They were just kidding. STUPID PTB! They SUCK and so does HOUSE. I want my show back!!!
8th-Nov-2007 12:03 am (UTC)
Apparently Jesse's only working like one day a week now instead of the sixteen hours a day all week long he used to do. Part of that may be easing everybody into a post-Jessifer world, but really, I think TPTB just forgot that they, oh my God, have this character with actual depth who's been sitting on the shelf for two years. I miss my pretty kicked puppy who did more with his eyes than the other ducklings did with all their stupid screentime.

I miss interesting story-lines. I miss being able to stand Foreman. I miss the show I used to love and I miss Chase. Ugh.
8th-Nov-2007 12:34 am (UTC)
So much WORD! And now I'm getting pissed at myself for letting myself get invested in this show. Stupid me.
8th-Nov-2007 01:58 am (UTC)
Ergh. Me too. I'm at the point now where I want to stop watching, but I can't. I'm just sick of being frustrated.
8th-Nov-2007 10:21 am (UTC)
That's how I am. I love Chase so I'll watch. I can't NOT watch, but it just bites because I'm watching with the hope of catching him for 30 seconds and it's just wrong.
8th-Nov-2007 08:16 pm (UTC)
Exactly. I really hope TPTB get their acts together and give him some decent screen-time. I'm getting really sick of this.
7th-Nov-2007 03:22 am (UTC)
I won't see it for a good few hours yet, being an Aussie, but I'm DYING to know - is it true Chase yells at Cameron?
7th-Nov-2007 03:48 am (UTC)
I wouldn't say he yells. He just kinda gently chides her. It's a great moment but too short. again.

Hi! New here. And loving that everything I've thought about this season so far regarding Chase is being said here. I just thought I'd add a few more of my thoughts.

1.) Agreeing with everyone about how Foreman is getting too much screentime. Also am not liking that it's the same story over again. Except instead of Foreman quitting, it's him coming back.

2.) I'm wondering what Jesse Spencer must've done to piss the writers off because seriously, Foreman's getting his own arc, and Cameron's had a couple sections of screentime for herself (4x04 and recently in 4x06) and when he is on screen, he's saying the same things over and over again ("You've got to get over him"). And yeah, I know he hasn't done anything and the writers like him but you get what I mean. Luckily though, it looks like he'll have a good bit in next week's episode http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y279/marykir/HL/TV/House/Season4/Promos/20071106-S4E07/ . He's shown more than Foreman which is always a good sign and it looks like there'll be a scene with him and House.

Yeah, those are a few of my thoughts. Hi again!

I used to enjoy Foreman. The eps where he was in it in small doses and always the scenes with him and Chase. Jesse brought more out of him. It's the same old same old with FOreman and I'm sick of it and truly now loathe the character. Nice going show.

I've wondered the same thing. Did Jesse piss someone off? Everyone has more time than him. EVERYONE! Are TPTB really that stupid and not see how much Chase love there is and how awesome Jesse is? Idiots!

And, hello. Welcome. Love your icon.

Yeah I did too. In fact, the time I liked Foreman the best was with Chase, or when he had funny scenes with House (like the elevator scene in "Safe"). I really liked the relationship Foreman and Chase had and would've loved to see a scene where Foreman found out Chase wasn't as stuck-up as Foreman thought he was. After seeing "The Socratic Method" it makes me even more mad at the writers cause at one point they did write great scenes like that. That was when they liked Chase. Now the writers seem to forget about the great character they created.

I know what you mean about that. Literally everyone else is getting more screentime. I mean, I don't mind learning about the new characters (if I'm gonna have to see them, I might as well find something to like about them) but I still find Chase more mysterious than 13 and think there's a lot more to learn about him than there ever will be with her. No, I'm not dissing 13, I just don't like how the writers are forcing the whole "She's mysterious, can't ya tell?" It's been overdone and it's unoriginal. And didn't Chase's character get changed COMPLETELY because TPTB liked Jesse so much? Why waste that talent?

Thanks! :) I made it. There aren't enough Chase and House icons out there! ;)

I have yet to figure out why TPTB won't use Jesse. Seriously. And I hate 13. I hate anvils. None of the newbies are unique. The only one I loved was the old guy and I'd have traded Cam and Foreman for him happily. Then had Chase, Old guy and House working together. Foreman sucks as a leader and a diagnostician and pretty much as a person, in my book. Chase is the diagnostician. He's the only one who could really do the job. He's the guy House should hand the torch over and I think House knows that. And tptb set it up by the end of season 3. At this point, just get rid of Chase so Jesse can go do another show and have SCREENTIME to show how fabulous he is. Instead of teasing us with 30 seconds a week.

Yup, yup, agree with your whole post basically. TPTB said they did this whole change thing so that the show would be different. So far it's the same insults, same type of people, same formula, but without the original people making it not as great as it used to be. Personally, I think the old guy should've stayed because since he wasn't a doctor, then he wouldn't do any of the tests, but he could've been (like House said) House's assistant, and then the original three (especially Chase) could return and then it'd be same team with a new member. And the character himself would've added something different to the show. But no, apparently TPTB can't see that THAT'S a new, better change than a new girl whose mysterious past doesn't leave me wanting more. Just less.

Speaking of which, I think TPTB just forgot about Chase's past, which really pisses me off. They let Chase leave without giving at least one more insight into his past. We have Foreman episodes where he gets to tell us he grew up in the ghetto, Cameron episodes telling us she had a husband who died and how many Chase episodes? I'd count but the small amount would depress me. And considering that, that shows how much TPTB could've explored with his character and how they really didn't need to toss him aside. I really do think Jesse should look at some other stuff since he's obviously gotten the bad end on "House MD".

Another sad thing I realize is that I could "have faith in the writers" but these are the same writers who wrote a great episode like "Finding Judas" where Chase played a major part and that set up what could've been a great tension between House and Chase, only to have "Merry Little Christmas" where we got one 10-second conversation and a whole lot of Cameron. I mean the punch was the starting point of Chase's growth start, and it really was never brought up again. How sad is that?

Wow, I just realized this was really long. Sorry. I guess this whole "Chase-lacking" thing is leaving me ranting, haha.

IMO,writers love Jesse. His screen time has been the least among old 3 ducklings since seanson 2,yet he has been given the best moments of 3. Maybe David Shore doesn't like him as much as he likes JMo or OE, maybe because his agency is weak(take a look at JM, she already got a job to do during the strike!), or maybe he doesn't 'fight' for screen time like others. We will never know. Jesse should really start to think about his future(if he hasn't), being a member of House gives him great oppertunity to be famous, on the other hand, staying in this show is wasting his talent. Since he doesn't have much work to do right now,he'd better try to get a role in a movie and, get himself known by some other directors and producers.
